Minecraft isn't just a game, it's a global platform where fans build their unique stories and share them with the world.
To prove it, Minecraft created #MinecraftYourStory, a social program aimed at collecting hundreds of everyday-player stories from a single, simple prompt and turning them into an official Minecraft-sponsored mixed-media collage. Little did the community know, every submission became part of an official Minecraft film at Minecraft Live (their annual keynote).
During Minecraft Live, the brand didn't only update the community about the game's future, they gave players with an audience in the single digits a captive audience of 5 million viewers who were tuning in.
Once we edited all the submissions into one story, Minecraft repositioned the spotlight back at their budding storytellers within the community, giving them their first-ever official story credit from the brand.
